Membership
|
Membership is open to all persons who publicly profess Jesus Christ as their risen Lord and Savior. No one will be denied membership because of their race, ethnic origin, worldly condition, or any other reason unrelated to their profession of faith.
If you would like additional information concerning church membership, please call Linda, the church secretary, at 248-546-8360 and ask to speak to the Pastor or a Drayton Ambassador. At 49 years old, I have been a member of 3 different Catholic churches, 2 Lutheran churches and Drayton Avenue Presbyterian Church. Without a doubt, the warmest and friendliest church is Drayton Avenue. From the first day my family and I walked through the door, we were surrounded with the love and warmth of this church family. I think there must have been a bit of "divine guidance" involved that led me to attend Palm Sunday services at Drayton Avenue Presbyterian earlier this year. Here I found not only a warm, receptive welcome, but also an already well-established and supportive Church family. The parishioners here not only made me feel comfortable, but also seemed well versed in the Christian faith. It is this mutual, mature approach to family fun and Church logic that peaked my interest to attend further, confirming my own personal relationship with the Lord by actually "joining" the Church in August and actively becoming a church member. The opportunities DAPC provides to serve at many different levels of community and Church life I find challenging and worthy of my own needs. Thank you to the DAPC for being such a caring, understanding congregation.

One day we were looking thru a family members' old bible and found the church's name. Our interest brought us to unexpectedly drop by the church for additonal information. We were warmly greeted by Linda the church secretary who answered our many questions and gave us a tour of the building. Soon afterwards we were contacted by Pastor Miller to discuss our interest in the church as well as our reservations to attend regarding our special needs child. We attended a Sunday service and knew immediately this was a warm and welcoming community for all members of our family to grow and worship.
